Ventilator fan Failure, can't boot windows!

Ok so, my brother and I dug up this old HP pavilion. We tried to boot, everything came up, but at the bottom, under the master and slave listings, i saw this
"Ventilator Fan Failure CPU may overheat, please turn off computer and verify connector"
It also says at the top of the master and slave list, "Primary Slave: None"
All of the others are listed as usual, is this normal?
We can't get any Keyboards to work on the computer, the caps, scroll, and num lock light up, but they dont respond, so I can't enter BIOS.
Any Suggestions?
 
Sounds like you have one of the older HP's that used a blower fan at the back of the case then a shrowd on the heatsink, id open up the case to make sure the fan cable hasnt come undone, and if it hasnt, then the fan just might be dead and you'd need a new one.
 
Well, we took it apart, the blower fan in the back works fine on BOTH connectors, and the power unit fan also works fine.
It vibrates a bit when it's running, but it's still running.
If i could find a way to get a keyboard to work I could hit f1 and setup.
