verry silly microsoft word problem

hey

this i really stupid problem, and i feel incredibly stupid but i still cant fix it so ere we go.....

......i went to use word today and something very strange had happened. all of the toolbars and menu bars etc had disappeared. can anybody tell me ow to get them back. i put my office disk in abd did a re-install/repair and it didnt help.

The menu bar is treated almost as if it were another toolbar. To see if the menu bar has just been "turned off," press Alt+T (which would display the Tools menu, if the menu bar were visible) and then press C (for Customize). You should see the Customize dialog box appear, and the Toolbars tab should be selected. Somewhere on the list of available toolbars is the Menu Bar. Make sure this option is selected, and then click on Close.



If that doesnt work there is a macro on the link above to try something else..
 
hey. i tried using the macros, and followed the instructions exactly but it wouldnt work. when i created and tried to run the macro, the followng happened:



then when i clicked debug:

went to add/remove progs and unisnstalled offfice, rebooted, installed it again and it is still the same. i know nothing about registry editing so ikm kinda scared to delete or edit anything. is there much involved in reg. editing?
 
tried everything i can find but nothing seems to work. might have to do that registry thing but like i said i know nothing about it and im kind of afraid to mess up the pc.
