Hey guys,
The laptops we have in our office (Some high end Lenovos with Vista, some cheap Asus with XP) are really awful. They are slow and crash a lot, but the real problem is Outlook, which is just very slow. The native search capacity is crap, Xobni helps a lot but seems to cause more problems. I eventually just brought in my MacBook and started using it as my personal computer. It has some problems working with the exchange server (doesn't archive email the same way Outlook does), but otherwise its been great.
My boss has gotten sick of putting up with the computer troubles and has asked me to recommend something. I'm not really a technical guy. I know I can recommend a Mac and have it be fairly satisfactory. However, are there any Windows machines you can suggest? I really need a set up which will run fast and not degenerate due to Outlook or other Windows related problems. Any thoughts?
