Hi there it seems that i have never ending problems but i finally am done and can start maybe helping others out even more....okay so i got a 2 new hard drives and for some reason my seagate barracuda 200 gb ide is so as .... the load times are really slow and i know it has to be the hard-drive because everything else has been tested in another computer so i have narrowed down the problem but i don't know what to do or how to speed it up i just bought new ide cables the 133 ones rounded so.....any1 know what else i can try?

check the disk for errors, could be a bad disk or something. If it's fine, the only thing I can tell you is defrag it

7200rpm i assume? i have a seagate barracuda 120 and a 250, they work just fine. Maybe its defective, but try defragging and checking for errors first... as said previously.

It might be because they are using the same ide cable? The more you have the slower it will tend to be, especally disk to disk copying if they are on the same cable.
