Very Strange.... Have a Look

i bought a computer off a friend its a celeron 1.7 ghz and it was working fine for ages and than i put a 256 graphics card in it and it s**t itself every time i turn it on it just beeps and says: System BIOS boot Failer please insert system disc so i do that and it does nothing. i have tried resetting my BIOS but still nothing can any one help me out on wat i should do or should i just chuck it in the bin??
 
hmm... u reset the bios eh? what kind of card is it?
i dont really know what could be wrong with it,
what manufacturer (msi, gigabyte, foxconn) made the card, what designer (ATI, NVidia) made the chip, and what chipset (7800gtx, 9600pro, fx5700) is the card?
 
k well my card does need a power cable its a 256mb radeon 9800 and i don't no anything else about it lol if i had of kept the box i might

ok well.... u did plug the power connector into the psu right? and did u uninstall the old vga card inorder to put in the new one?
 
it was an on board graphics card and i didn't think to unistall it. but when i go to turn my computer on there is no BIOS and it just says BIOS boot failure i tried to reset the BIOS but it doesn't work..
