Very very easy Question

I'm buying a second computer because the other one is done for.
It's mainly used for Limewire, testing new programs and iTunes.

This is the computer which I have been offered by a friend:

Hp Pavilion a1210n Desktop
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00471049&dlc=en#

Or the Hp Pavilion a1220n Desktop (he's not sure which one)

The thing is I highly doubt the computer has seen a virus check in over a year, so it's most likely contaminated like crazy, there's tons of crap and programs which are definitly not needed and updates are badly needed too. Basically a full days work for me to give her a good cleaning.

Now, how much would you pay for this computer (forget about monitor, mouse etc.)

The top I would pay for an HP Pavilion A1210N Desktop (if it includes a copy of Windows) is about $70 (United States Currency) since it has a single-core processor and only 512 megabytes of RAM.

Well, I have a similar (somewhat) computer as the 2nd model. But I have 3 times the RAM and itunes can still be jumpy. Its not bad by all means, its really easy to upgrade RAM and if its cheap, its just cheap. The thing is that in this computer the only parts worth anything is the hard drive and the processor. The processor being what it is wouldn't be worth much more than 20-30$ ? And the hard drive, maybe 30$ max. The rest of the parts are as crappy as they can be. So yeah, I'd say 70$ is more or less what I'd pay. Now, stores sell used computers like that for 125 or 150 and I guess people buy them... but maybe they come with a screen, but then again, a 17inch CRT is pretty much worth between 0$ and I'll give it to u with 5$ if u take it.
