Ive noticed that on my internet that on some pages like foxsports for instance where there is an add at the top of the page instead of the ad i get page cannot be displayed in the little ad box,no big deal but i was trying to go this site the other night for my mom and it kept saying page cannot be displayed. So i swithched from IE to firefox just to see if maybe i had a security setting out of line but got cannot connect to sever but only on this one site.I disabled all firewalls and pop-up blockers, and all anti spyware programs and still wouldnt let me go to this site.Even on nascars website it will say at the bottom done but with errors on page. Not sure if its ok to give link to website for anyone to try but i have tried it on several other computers and no problems.I have no problem going anywhere but that 1 site and the little ads at the top and sides of some pages.

Any Ideas????

Thanks in advance Jason

P>S> just checked the site in question on another pc in my house on the same network and it worked fine so the problem lies somewhere in my machine.
I have checked activex and its ok and i have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player as well as cleared my cache.IE 6

If you look at the Shop IPod, newegg, and TigerDirect links above I run into the same thing with two out of three here seeing IE cannot display page. With IE 7 in use here I know that I will have to make a few changes in all of the four not just one section there. Sometimes you have to enable unsigned as well as signed active x controls. Enabling the display mixed content in the main one to see working.

The same thing happenes to me with my FF browser but I'm almost possitive it's because of some of the addons I've dowloaded for FF. I've never really looked into it because it has never been a porblem for me and I don't like advertising anyways, except those fun myspace "shave the man's back and win a free ring tone" kind. And I can see those...
I've got so many free ringtones 'tis crazy!

On a good number of occasions with either FF 2.0 or IE 7 I end up using an alternate link when trying to get to some sites. That will happen even after lowering the security setting below defaults. If you are not on dial up and behind a firewall that can have an effect at times. But the problem there has more to do with the settings on the one effected system. On your privacy section seen in tools>internet options>Privacy>advanced make sure the override automatic cookie handling is checked off and both the accept first party and third party cookies boxes are checked as well. That along with the new antiphising filter(disable that) and display active content(enabled) are set correctly in the four sections.
