Verzon modem/router and linksys router

Basically i cant get internet through the linksys or even detect the wifi, i never had this problem with my old modem, im assuming its solvable through the router settings. Could someone help me out?
 
Is your Router functioning properly? Can you connect to the router admin page? Usually for linksys it's http://198.162.1.1 If you're not even pulling up the router settings page, then it's probably a defective router. Otherwise, make sure that the router is assigning you an IP address. Run ipconfig in cmd and make sure you're getting a connection.
