vga & dvi why?

Tons of video cards have this. My video card does, my other 7600GT does, and some 7900GT's have them. The reason is because still a majority of monitors out there still use VGA as a primary adapter. Even my 19" LCD comes standard with both VGA and DVI, but it only comes with a VGA cable.

So it works with a VGA monitor? Most cards come this was actually, then come with a adapter to dual DVI, and the rest...(of the newer cards) are dual DVI with an adapter to run VGA. As Omega said, there is still a vast amount of people who still run VGA.

The amount of people who use a VGA connetion is much much bigger then the amount of people who want to run dual monitors using DVI on each.

My Compaq's 6200 actually only had a VGA connection. It wasn't low profile or anything, that's just all that it had. As others said, there are more VGA compatable monitors around than DVI.

i know vga is still common. i used it up until about a month ago. what gets me is that i can't for the life of my find an x850xt pe online that is like mine. so is it like they made the x850xt pe first with both dvi and vga and then later made it double dvi?
