VGA out to PC's and monitor...read on

I have an RTV veg, which basicly lets you use you computer monitor and speakers with a PC and Console (I have an Xbox) and switch between the two. However, the quality is pretty crappy in my opinion, and the audio is fuzzy if I turn it up about 1/4 of the way. My question is, is would it be possible to get a converter for the VGA plugs of the xbox to turn them into standard computer audio and monitor inputs. Then, I would plug the audio cable from the xbox and my 2 computers into an audio switcher, and the video from each component into a video switcher. Could I do this and still be able to game at 1600 x 1200?

Sorry if I don't cover this totally, but I'm not 100% sure what you're asking.

First, VGA has no audio signal(if you meant that) BUT, if you have RCA connections from the Xbox, you could easilly convert that to the headphone jack. Radio Shack carries those converters.

So this device converts basically RCA to VGA? Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what it is...but, if this is what it is, I know the problem... You're going from RCA to VGA, correct? Well VGA runs non-interlaced, where RCA runs interlaced. During the conversion, you loose a good bit of quality(it's basically halfed)

Um...sorry, I don't know much else to say ^^;

RCA, thats what I meant.
Ya, I was sort of unclear, now that I read it. What I have has the xbox inputs for speakers and video (red, white, yellow) the input for computer audio, and for monitor input. You press a button and it changes what the monitor recieves input from. However, the resolution is crap with xbox. Mine can only go 800 x 600, and that looks bad from relatively close to a 21" monitor. I would use a KVM switch and an audio switch for the monitor and audio between my 2 computers and my xbox. Hopefully the resolution would be higher.

EDIT: I did a quick paint diagram for the setup. How can I add it?

There's an upload featuer on the advanced respond... But I think I understand what you want, just to connect your xbox to your standard computer monitor. Here's the problem. I don't know too much about Xbox's, but I know a good bit about TVs. Your standard TV only runs at 720x480, interlaced. That's probably what the Xbox displays as, and will display as with your standard RCA connections. Now I've seen some people who made converters that allowed the xbox connect to a monitor(there are probably premade ones somewhere) but I know nothing about them nor the quality they yeild...

Ok. Do you know if the 360 runs any higher? And heres a quicky of how the setup would be:
