Hey

I have a 19 inch monitor that i use to play my xbox 360 on and my computer. but whenever i wanna switch i have to go switch the cords behing my monitor. and its a real pain in the ass.

so i know there is something that splits the connection so that all i do is like press a button or flip a switch and i can go between monitor and xbox 360. i dont know wats it called or how much it costs.

There's a KVM switch(or was it KMV?) Whatever, they are made to control the monitor keyboard and mouse, but I'm sure you could just get one and only connect the monitor.

Also, seeing as you don't need the keyboard and mouse, there might be a plain hard wired switch. Most of the others are made so youre computer will think it's got a keyboard plugged in, however with a monitor, it SHOULD work just fine with a hard wired switch.

What about this little thing? You can't get too much cheaper than this

Here's a plain switch one. No reason you have to connect your keyboard and mouse to it. There might be a plain VGA switch as well.

o thanks i really like that second one. but i dont get it, the port that says I/O is the one that goes to the monitor and the A and B go to my xbox and my computer?

edit: i saw the reviews for the one i liked, not good they said u loose some image quality. which i cant have with my 360.

You shouldn't loose any quality as it's just a switch. I popped one of those open once and it's just a ton of wires that switch to either of those connections. Honestly, if you want to keep the most quality you can, I beleive the 2nd one would be the best as it's all just wires. The first one is more electrical and computerized.

The other ports are for your keyboard and mouse, but as I mentioned, you don't have to have them connected there.
