So I just bought http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-2-Ports-VGA-Manual-Switch-Adapter-Selector-Splitter_W0QQitemZ250452688956QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a5024c03c&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1234|293%3A1|294%3A50 this and I have a problem.

I have my xbox and computer hooked up to it, and everything seems to be working fine. However, the problem is when I restart my computer it goes back to some crazy resolution that looks terrible. When I unplug my computer from the switch and plug it directly in the resolution is normal. The problem is, right after I restart I go into properties and the resolution of my screen (1680x1050) isn't even there. It only comes back when I plug in directly. Is there anything I can do to make it stay permanently at the 1680x1050 resolution?

Sounds like a software bug in your graphics adapter. You might try getting the latest drivers, but my guess is there really isn't anything you can do to fix it.

I think it's something in the switch and the graphics card can't actually recognize the sreen because it is being relayed through the switch. Is it possible to have the resolution permanently set at 1680x1050? When I restart the option isn't even there until I plug the VGA from the computer directly into the monitor. So, is there anyway to automatically start at 1680x1050, without the graphics card even recognizing what monitor is being used?
