VGA to S-Video?

New to the forums...

I am using a Dell Inspiron 1720 notebook, which has one VGA input and one S-Video input.

I have an external Acer monitor hooked up through the VGA input, which works great.

I am an online poker player, and was hoping to add another monitor to my setup (thus having 3 total).

Although, without having an extra VGA hookup, I thought this might be impossible, unless I could figure out a way to hook up another monitor to the S-Video. I just haven't seen monitors that have an S-Video cable.

Is there any adapters that turn the VGA cable from the monitor (male end) into an S-Video input for my laptop? Is this possible at all? And if the hookup worked, would it show in my Display Settings so I could customize the layout, etc.?

This link shows something that may work, but I don't know enough about it to commit to a purchase yet.

I am thinking that this product will look like this... If the link doesn't work, type it in a new browser and it should.

Thanks a lot.

The first link you posted is VGA to SVHS, and you need the other way around. I didn't bother checking the other link though... Most all GPUs are only capable of two simultaneous displays. The most you could get from your TV out would be a clone of another. Plus, the quality/resolution would be horrible. Have you ever used TV Out?

Though you know... There are some USB video cards here and there. While performance may be a bit laggy, it would probably serve your purpose...
