The ATI Radeon model seen at: http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=3577574 will handle the two games you mention without issues. But a support ticket is needed for the last available updates for that model from ATI. The Catalyst Control Center 5.11 is that one. The basic drivers or 5.11 Control Panel not Catalyst are the best for gaming however. This model is one of two commonly seen in a number of stores like Best Buy.

The other card often found in stores is seen at: http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=3357463 Both of these cards are 256mb models. For a case you are about to set aside a 128mb card would cost less and suffice for now just to run those games. A look at the new build planned shows a gig of Corsair xms dimms will work along with the 3800+ cpu. Enermax and Antec come to mind for psus. Asus and MSI have some mobos to look over.
