Video Accelerator

This may sound stupid- is a video accelerator the same as a video card? Avery time I run sw battlefront my computer complains about video accelerator, but it can run battlefield 2 just fine. Do I need a new video acceleraotr or what?

i have one of those graphics accelerators in my comp 2, i think its just a chip installed on ur mobo. Do u ahve a gfx card, if not then how are u playing bf2?
