video card and monitor question.

i ordered the X1950XTX a while back, and it showed up yesterday. the system reqs on the box and on tigerdirect/newegg - say you need a power supply at least 450w. my power supply is only 350, and this card hasn't missed a beat. well... so far. it's only been one day... one game. maybe i need to give it time. my question is: is the 450 watt requirement only necessary under certain situations... like more than one monitor, or to run games on my tv... why would i need all that extra power?

and the monitor question. i have an ibm 21" monitor... i love it! however... the spec sheet says it supports resolutions up to 1600x1200 @ 85hz. i configured my system to that... and everything is blurry. readable... but blurry. it kinda looks like i've just windexed my screen and it isn't dry yet. there isn't a sharpness setting on my monitor... maybe a program i can download?

You should be ok with your power supply. Those PSU recomendations don't mean much. If you do see any problems though, I suggest you upgrade. As for the montior question, try to deguass your montior, or turn the refresh rate down a step and see if that fixes it.
