Video Card and Monitor settings help!

I recently built a new PC and installed a ATI 4530 video card. When connecting my 22" LCD VGA (1680x1050) monitor, I am getting some annoying stretch. I tried to mess with the settings using CCC, but I get nothing that looks right. The funny thing is I have a older ATI Video Card that was connected to the same monitor and it looked like a champ! I have updated my drivers and messed with my LCD settings.

Does anyone have some advise on what I can do?
Monitor and Video settings that people are using on a 1680x1050 monitor?

I really dont think its the video card, but what do I know!

I am currently running a Q9400 processor, 8gb ram, and Vista 64 ultimate OS.

hmm, not sure about lcd, but with crt, i had to set the correct refresh rate or the monitor would have this nasty distorted resolution. have you seen anywhere any refresh rate settings? just a though.
 
Actually the best setting I can get is 1440 x 900 @ 60Hz. A little big in my opinion. I wanted something smaller and the 1680 x 1050 @ 60hz resolution looks stretched.

Maybe this is my excuse for the wifey to get a better monitor :D
