Video Card compatability...

I'm trying to figure out if the NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT will work with my computer:

Dell Precision Workstation 370
3.4GHz Pentium 4 processor
512Mb RAM
My current video card is ABIT RX300 SE, PCIe
Power is 350 Watt

My biggest concern is that my computer won't be able to power it. If that video card will not work, does anyone have any recommendations on the best card for my money? Preferrably a NVidia.

Thanks.

Well, if you stick the card in and boot the computer up it should run. BUT, the PSU is on the slow side, soo you might experience issues while playing games and such. As for RAM, it's on the low side for a mid/high end system, but the comnputer will run with 512mb.

The biggest concern I've been told about is that I won't be able to power it. If it ends up looking like I shouldn't buy the card, what would be the best card for price that my computer could run?

Considering upgrading your ram. Such a powerful card in a PC with such little ram, kind of unbalanced. That PSU is also prob. going to hold you back. I'd upgrade ram and PSU, then worry about the card.

What sort of RAM would I need to buy, assuming I wanted around 1GB of RAM (I think that would be enough for decent gaming)? I'm not sure how I would upgrade the PSU.

I looked your your PC online, it seems like it uses DDR2-400 non ECC ram or DDR2-533 ECC ram.
