Video card decision

im not sure which card to go with here, money is part of the decision.

was hoping to be able to play gtaIV or saints row 2, also fallout 3/COD/some other new games. but other than this just regular pc usage, surfing/papers/music

Same price range after rebate...from what I was told it wasn't till the 4850+ that ATI really put a whipping to Nvidia.

It can still max out most games like the ones you mentioned depending on your resolution you play on...if your on one of the resolutions higher then 1440x900 you will want a 1GB+ GPU.

In that case, between the two you listed, get the 3870. But go for the 9800 that twist mentioned.
