are there any cards that faces away from the pci slots? i meant the cpu is a little lower than the video card slot so heat should not be a problem. the card is basically blowing heat to the toward the pci slots so if there is any sound card and such there wouldbe a problem?

so there should be videocards designed with everything and the hsf on theother side of he card. :D
 
well thats a good idea, i wish i could be a mobo designer, i would have so mny good ideas, but this stuff will prolly be in the new BTX with all of the slots on the top of the mobo, u the lian-li cases have the mobo upside downs so that could work

Well technically the fan isn't blowing away from the card, it's sucking air onto the card, away from the PCI slots.

1. They do have that
2. The problem with that is that you have heatzone issues with the processor
