Hi, I checked the date of my video card driver and it is listed as 7/19/2005 and its version is 6.14.10.4363 and the type of video card is Intel 82945g express chipset family.

Can someone please tell me if I have the latest version, please?

Thx

Are you using an LCD Flat screen monitor? Are you having any issues viewing certain resolutions? We need more information on why you need updated drivers.

Because i am thinking on getting the following monitor:

"Samsung 21" Widescreen LCD HDTV - 3000:1, 5ms, 1680x1050 - DVI (216BW) - New
Other products by Samsung
Mfg. Part #: 216BW / UPC: 729507801216
Key Features: Flat-panel LCD,3000:1 contrast ratio,Advanced controls,1680 x 1050 resolution,5-millisecond response,Digital/analog input ..."

The highest resolution on my current video card is 1600 x 1200. I was told in order to get best picture I need to have exact setting as the monitor offers so need to get current driver. Right now I am on a VGA 17" monitor and I want to go to LCD flat screen so I was wondering if the above link is the correct driver needed.

Well since you have integrated video and you are using a vga cable and not a DVI, its possible that you might have an issue running the native resolution of the new monitor, but then again, you might not. Without trying it, you'll never know. If you do have an issue running the resolution then you'll have to get a separate video card with a DVI connection, providing that your motherboard supports a separate video card, AGP most likely if it does. Do you know what motherboard you have?

I have hdvi connectors so I would have to get an hdvi adapter for the DVI connector that comes with that monitor.

I would buy a separate pci express video card with a dvi connector already on it. Onboard graphics are a little shaky with lcd monitors these days.
