Video Card for 1920 x 1080 TV

I'm moving to a new apartment and I think I am going to build a computer from the ground up based around this monitor:

and what ever video card will look the best on it. Your options?

What's your budget? It's recommended that you buy a card with 512 MB.

For that resolution buy a card with plenty of memory on it(as said above). What exactly will you do with it?

HDMI support, really the best for multimedia and gaming on large televisions. Maybe a few fps less than a nvidia card for games, but overall better for everything else...IMO..

I'll mainly be using it to navigate through my itunes to play my music throughout my entire house. I'd also like to play movies (Maybe a future Blue Ray add on) and view pictures. the majority of the games i play are rts games and I'd like a card that'd compliment games such as cnc3 and civ4. Directx 10 is not needed.

you are seriously going to use that as a monitor? ha dude i have a 32 inch widescreen hdtv as a monitor and this is HUGE. but then again i sit 2-3 feet away from this.

you've seen this in person of course.... that is a HUGE tv i would go for 40 max but this is your decision. nice tv too.

Yeah I'm using a 32 inch now. But I'm using a NVIDIA 7600 off of my laptop so the image is a little stretched. It urks me so I want to get a new TV and a make a new computer. This system will live in my Living room. I'll control my houses audio through it on the tv with the intention to blow peoples minds. This 32" display with a stretched image gets the job done now, I can't wait til I can save up for my 50" 1080p. It'll make the ladies clothes fall off for sure.
