hey- im building a pc for use with protools/reason and all i need now is a video card. i have no intention of gaming- but also dont want to buy a poor product. msi p695neo mobo and intel core 2 e6400 cpu. i also would like to use the computer as a tivo via a hauppauge pvr-150. with the above in mind- what would be a good video card? for my purposes would i want a 16pin pci-e or will the regular pci-e be fine? would the 16pin have any advantage in tv capture? cool- thanks.

Well if your sure you don't want to game, mabe a NVIDIA 6200 will be fine. Mabe a 7300LE would be a bit better but still cheap.

thanks for your help. as a non-gamer the endless options/selection are both confusing and nothing i would normally pay much attention to. thanks again.

I had a 6200TC in my previous computer and it was a great card. I think overall it was one of the best cards I had for lesser 3D applications. It worked much better than my 7600 in applications like Secondlife and Poser.
