video card help please

I was wondering if I bought another pny nvidia gts 450, would I be able to have two in my rig, and what would I benefit from this, higher fps while playing games? Also I have dirt 3 which I bought of steam, but occasionally when I play it a box pops up asking me if I want to use a simple colour scheme for better performance or something like that. Anyway would two graphics cards help wi that?

Hard drive:: Samsung 1tb
Blue ray disk drive:: LG super multi blue.
Graphics card:: PNY Nvidia Geforce gts 450
CPU:: Intel i5 760
Mobo:: Asus P7P55D-E PRO
Ram:: Corsair Xms3 ddr3 2 2gb sticks
Psu:: corsair HX650W

You'd probably notice a difference at higher resolutions. The question is: do you really need another card? If your FPS is fine now, there's really no use for one.
