Video Card Planning

Hey guys i want to know if Geforce 210 or Palit 9500GT 1Gb is compatible with my spec..

Specs
Mobo : Acer E946GZ
CPU : Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz
Chipset : Intel 946GZ Express Chipset Family
PSU : 240 watts
RAM : 2gb

It may be compatible, but I am not seeing much on that motherboard. If you upgrade, it would probably need a upgraded PSU, and you need a PCIe x16 slot. Assuming you have one it will work.

okay, it has a PCIe x16 slot (the big red one) so those cards will work. I would suggest highly that you upgrade your PSU to at least 400 watts from Antec, Corsair, NZXT, OCZ, PC power and cooling, seasonic, silverstone, or XFX. Coolermaster would work too.

Yes both cards will be compatible with your board. I'd get the 9500 GT over the GT 210 if I were you though, it's a much faster card. See the benchmarks here http://www.hwcompare.com/869/geforce-9500-gt-ddr2-vs-geforce-gt-210/, however it is also draws more power than the GT 210, so yeah you're going to want to upgrade your PSU too.

if your going for those class of cards, id skip both and get a gt430. its far better than either. put one in the roomie's box and it seems to game pretty well on medium to low settings with a c2d e5200
