i just bought a xfx 7600gt. every single review on newegg says that is is a great card and can eat any game they throw at it for breakfest. my system includes a compaq presario sr1630nx, a 300watt psu, 512 mega bytes of Ram and this card. my problem is that, although the frame rates for the games i play(cs:s dod:s and far cry) are pretty decent, there are lots of little pauses everytime something exciting happens, like i shoot or something explodes, or if i move too fast. a very short to sometimes 2 second pause. now this diddnt bother me so much on far cry, but when i got fear i can hardly even play the game on all minimum settings, because of the pauses. My question is: first of all, what is causing this, my system or the card (i should tell you that the recomended psu for the card is 350, i have only 300). second, if it is indeed my system, will upgrading the psu or the ram help at all?
