"Low Profile" (meaning they will fit in a desktop) video cards will work in desktops right?

Also what is "antialiasing" and "anisotropic filtering" and "pixel shading" and all that stuff? Is there any place i can get some info on what these are since i dont know much about video cards?

Low profile usally means it's a smaller card to fit in these thin desktops. I don't know the exact specs, but the metal cover is usally about half the size of the standard one.

If you just google those terms, I'm sure something will come up with an explination.

Oh BTW it is a PCI card.

Hey and i have another question. I was looking under my graphics options and stuff and i saw that my graphics card wasnt running at the highest option.

I was just wondering if there is a reason why i should let my monitor and graphics card run at lower quality.

Thanks muchly

I suppose you refering to the image quality in your videocard options, a lower setting simply means better performance in games at the cost of image quality. I don't know what hardware you've got but it's obviously best to have this set to highest quality if possible.
