Video Card question

Hello, I have recently been in the market for computer upgrading. I found a store where they sell good mobo's for about 150-200CAD so thats not a problem. (Its a PCI-E mobo.) But for the video card I am looking at the ATI Radeon X700 and the Nvidia 7800 GT 256mb. I know a good amount of computer upgrading but I am wondering if this is a good card?

I doubt these will sell for their current prices but are they any good? These are the GT not GTX. I am wondering because I am a modellor for various games and I need a better card (currently ATI Radeon 9250 pci 256mb.) Thanks.
 
I'm looking for something cheap though. I don't want to spend too much, and I heard the 7800's were much better than the ATI x700 and x800. I just need it to be able to play Oblivion (not on full obviously) BF2 (full), FEAR (full).
 
Well, I'm just looking to get a good deal on ebay. If I can't, then I will get the X800 or X700. Or maybe another good card on ebay if the price is right. It really all depends on how much people are selling them for. But I don't want to be paying 450USD for a video card.
