Can u detect the temperature of any video card or does the card have to come with a special program or ability that allows you to do that. And is there a program that can monitor the video card temperature, and if so wat is it?

thanks

Only cards that that thermal diodes can have their temps monitored (generally speaking this includes midrange cards and up) ... nvidia drivers allow for temperatire monitoring (i think ati's do as well but cant remember). Third party tools like RivaTuner also allow for monitoring

ok ill look at that but can any back up that ATI's cards can be monitored? I also cant get rivatuner to work on my comptuer, it downloads but then it says extracting with a loading bar at 0% and just closes and doesnt do anything.

i have speedfan and thats another problem all it does is tell me the temp of my hdd, not my cpu or video card or anything else. It doesnt detect any fans only my hdd.

It says only for Dell Notebooks, and I checked it, hit ok and then nothing happened. I closed the program and i come back and nothing happens, go to options and its unchecked. Im pissed off and confused.
