Video card that will output HD video and sound

Im looking to buy or build a new system. The purpose of it will be to put beside my 60" HDTV. I want to sit in my easy chair and use my TV as the monitor as I play online games with a wireless keyboard and mouse. My question is what video card will output the video and audio via an HDMI cable to my tv's HDMI input. I know lots of cards have the HDMI slot on them but some dont seem to work properly. Im asking for someone who is currently using a card and outputting video and sound using a single HDMI cable to an HDtv. Not using a computer monitor. Thanks for your help

I'm doing exactly that with an ati radeon 4850.
How much are you looking to spend on a card?

most of the Ati Radeon vid cards that have the HDMI slot will work. Man I wish that I could do what you are doing but I probably wont be able to until I get my own place
