video card troubles

I have a new computer that is a used work computer that i got from a friend, it's got 1.5 gigs of ram and is pretty fast (i got it for 60 bucks)

I got a new graphics card that was pci e and i noticed all the slots where different , so now i have to take it back

i looked it up and apparently all i have is a pci slot and agpx4 slot. i realized these slots are expensive and not very popular

i was hoping to play games like spore and AOEIII (without lagging)


should i just give up?

I think you should get a new computer.
the one you got is too old to play those new games,and the agp card is expensive.it's not worth it.
