I have a gtx 260 and I would really like to upgrade to a gtx 570, so my question is what else will I have to do in order to make sure my computer dosent over heat or anything. I was thinking of upgrading my 750w power suppy to a 850w and my 4gigs of ram to 8 gigs. Pretty much I would like my computer to be able to run crysis 2 on high settings and battlefield 3 when that comes out. If you guys have any ideas please let me know.

gtx 260
intel core 2 duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz
4 gigs of ram
750w power suppy

Thanks

the 750 watt should be plenty for a GTX570.
4Gb of ram is more than enough for most anything other than video editing.

IF Battlefield 3 is anything near to BC2, then it may serve you better to upgrade to a quad core than to worry with more RAM. The battlefield series seems to be really CPU heavy.

Completely different engine, so we can't say for sure.

What 750W PSU do you have?

I'm sorry but its acually a 700w power supply for some reason I thought it was 750, but its a ocz game xstream 700w atx 12v sli crossfire ready. Also which CPU would you guys recommend if I would need to upgrade?

on current setup, core 2 quad. Q6600 seems to be a good processor.
If you want to upgrade your motherboard then a i5-2500K or Phenom II x4 955.

I wouldn't go either route right now, I would wait a month or so for Bulldozer. Even if OP would prefer to go Intel, it may very well be that the AMd releases will pull the prices of the Intel chips and boards down, so 1 month waiting could save a handsome amount of money
