I'd look into a 9800 pro. A Sapphire one is only 200 bux on newegg. And itll definantly last you a while with high quality graphics in games like doom3 and hl2. Then again it depends whats affordable to you.

Even if you want to sink lower than that, eg Radeon9600 or even 9200 I have a Radeon 9200 it's ok but not for High end gaming, but it runs games like The Sims2 and Farcry smooth, but now youd really want to go higher than that 9600

Never mind of coure its worth $50. NVIDIA Vanta has 8 mb memory and Radeon 9200 has 128 mb memory.

You should pay whatever it takes to upgrade. The VANTA is more than six generations old
