Could I install any video card to my motherboard as long as it fits in the slots or does it have to be a certain model to work properly, and do i have to install any hardaware so it works properly.

Yea unless you have a really old computer and a newer GPU, there might be some compatibility issues. Otherwise, as long as the card fits the slot, it should work.

How do i know wat kind of slot i have, mine has a longer slot in the front and a small one on the back. And also could i connect a computer to the internet if i just add a modem or does the computer have to be a certain year or something, and to install a modem do i have to add install anything to the computer other than the modem to the motherboard

Google the model number of your motherboard

You'll need to consider the power output of your PSU, if you're looking at a high-end card.

Just add a modem (you'll need to install the driver as well, of course).
