Video Converter

Can anybody tell me of a video converter that can convert .AVI files to MP4 or WMV files please?

I have some .AVI files on my computer that i want to watch on my TV and stream to them through my xbox and have found only these 2 types of files can be used.

I use xilisoft...bought it a couple years ago and it converts everything to everything. I never had any issues with it. It keeps the video quality when changing formats. I used a free program before I used this for ipod conversion...it would loose about half the quality. I gave in a bought this. Great program and easy to use.

yikes, bit of a hefty price tag attatched to it though for me.
