Video downloader

Is there a good video downloader (not for youtube) but for every other type of video file that you find on the internet.
For example I want to download a video from yahoo or any similar site.
I googed for some video downloader out there but nothing worked for what I was looking.

Any suggestion?

I would say if using or could check the addons from Mozilla / firefox. they have a few.

@tremmor I checked all the add on/extensions on Moxilla and Chrome but all of them work only for youtube and that's not what I'm looking for .

this is a very good site and I had totally forgotten about it but it says that it doesn't support this type of video.

As for download helper I've tried it but it donesn't work for non-youtube videos.

To Elly: I can show you how to use download helper to download videos if you want...just be on skype.We will use TeamViewer like we did the first time we met on this forum LONG time ago...

The only downloader I have ever needed is the one built into realplayer, when it is enabled in your browser anytime a video appears on screen it give you a download this video option in the top right corner of the video.

I used to use Realplayer but now the download option doesn't show up anymore.
