Hello again. Second thread in the first day....I'm on fire.

I am an administrator at a workshop type forum board and I need to update my system. I have another tread asking advice on a desktop, so that got me thinking about upgrading my video editing software.

Right now I am using Roxio Media Creator 7.0 (old), but is seems to work okay for what I am doing. I'm taking video off of my point a shoot camera, editing it, and then uploading it to youtube.

What software would you recommend if I end up with a new desktop?

Thanks for any advice.

Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum is rock solid, cheap, and easy to use. I'd recommend using that if you're not a massively serious editor. You can get some pretty impressive results with Vegas Platinum too. The UI looks intimidating at first but once you know your way around it, it's easy as hell to use! :)

I had HD Platinum 10 and it was rock solid, HD Platinum 11 is now out and I'm sure 12 on its way (a new version is released every year) and I also assume that they're very stable too.

I'd recommend Vegas Platinum over something like Premiere Elements or Corel VideoStudio.
