A friend of mine is looking for a free video editing software. Do you guys know any?

I don't have any experience with any of these but that is where I would start. kinda doubtful that he would want to use Linux but if he did I use Openshot for basic editing and Kdenlive for a more powerful editing system. Unfortunately neither are available for Windows :'(

Wow.. I'm actually looking for the same thing. Free video editing software. Either that or around the $100 mark.

WMM is very limited on what you can do.

Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum if you can put a bit of money into your software (it's cheap and very good indeed).

Might I suggest a OS Studio Ubuntu? Since they have many freeware software.
