Yes it was the memory. I switched with my neighbor and we both have 1333 (so it was compatible), and I had it running all my usual stuff for 2-3 days straight. We switched back so I could see if maybe mine weren't seated right, but sure enough I lost video and sound again on the same day using mine. Turns out I need to buy new RAM.
