video/graphics card

just wondering. video cards and graphics cards are the same thing right? and what does the number stand for. like a 512MB. is that a cach size, or transfer rate or something?

yeah it's the same thing. GPU is another synonym for video card. xxxMB you see on the card is how much memory is dedicated only for graphics. it's like computer RAM, except just for the card

On topic:512MB means 512MB of VRAM or video random access memory...I think.
