Video/Graphics Problem

Hi, My Dell Optiplex GX270 has a graphics problem, the reason is because I was adding, and removing programs because I had too many unwanted programs that were slowing down my computer, and I accidentally clicked on something to do with graphics, and now my computer looks like it's running Windows 95, and it has weird graphics. I have 3 questions. Will Windows Update help? If I install Windows XP on it will it solve the problem (I have Windows 2000 currently.) 3. Is there anything else I can do, or an easier way? Thanks for helping!

Will Windows Update help? Doubtful. even if it could find drivers, I avoid MS drivers at all costs.

Will Windows XP help? Doubtful. It's driver database isn't the greatest. And, even if it does have the correct drivers, *read above*

Have you tried going to Dell's site and downloading the correct driver package?

Well, I installed XP, it fixed one problem, but now there's another. XP fixed the color problem, but the screen size is now 640 by 480 pixels. and no I didn't download the driver package because I originally had windows 2000 on it when the graphics was accidentally removed from add/remove programs, and I don't know if it would have it on there. But now that I have a newer operating system, I will check, thanks for the help.
