I just bought a new video card (ATI Radeon 9250PCI) ... the system didnt recognize it as 'new' but I went through the installation as usual .... I had the DVI connected to the new card and to the monitor and the old vga cable to the onboard ... The firs thing I did was disabled the onboard through winXP .. then rebooted with the new card installed ... I had no video through the new card so I rebooted went into the bios and disabled what I saw as the onboard video ... we'll now I have nothing displaying at all ....

question is am I screwed ? is there a way during bootup to reenable it ?

The immediate recommendation would be to unplug the onboard and use the vga cable for the new card only now that the onboard is disabled. With both plugged in the proper detection of the monitor is not being seen through the DVI cable. That is only used when the card is known to be working as well having installed the software along with all drivers. Another thing to do is make certain the ATI card is down flush in the pci slot #1 and not slightly lifted up there. If the card is good you should readily see activity onscreen.
