video in``

Typical computer don't have video in, and only some have video out(normally svideo, but sometimes RCA)

Video in can be in many forms, it all dependson the card. There's firewire(in/out, digital) RCA, Svideo, and coaxal(cable TV, just in)

Most cards have only Video out like Other said. For video In best thing to do is buy a capture/tuner card.

NO... A capture card is different than your video card. It would have a COAXIAL input. You have everything out. Go buy a TV CAPTURE CARD. Has a connection that looks like a tv connection.

Pinnacle PCTV-PRO is what I use, it's a great card.
The software could be abit more mem optimized though..

ATI had a nice TV Wonder card, now they dont make those, but a tv card would allow you to hook up a coaxial cable or a standard video cable, although you need an adapter to hook the audio cable to the line in on yur sound card. Although you lose out on all the surround sound. Good for recording tv shows though.
