Video prob

hey i didnt know where to post this so i just post here.
anyway i have a prob with my video files, after awhile, ill go to watch something that iv stored in my hardrive and when i go to play the video that is like 1 hr long it only goes for like 20 seconds and then the sound keeps going but video pause's, what could be causing this its happend to a couple of my videos and its quite frustrating, i have tried playing it in other media players but i get the same result. i have a p4 3ghz, 1gig ram, radeon 9600, i have two hardrives i keep this video files on the slave drive, thanx

try downloading some new codecs/divx
 
Sometimes the files are not stored correctly or not downloaded correctly and might be corrupted. Have you got them from the internet or from a scratched CD ??
