Video Problem

Whenever I try to watch a video, a lot of them don't work. The video player opens and says "opening media" for just a split second before saying "ready." Hitting play just makes it say "opening media" and then "ready" again. If I right click the video and go to properties and copy the url into WMP or winamp or realplayer it sometimes works, but usually doesn't. In case this helps, I'll post an example of a vid which doesn't work: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/lo...ng,0,7841729.wmvfile?coll=sfla-home-headlines
Oh, and when I go to a vid's properties, it says that the length is 00:00. Sorry, I'm a complete retard when it comes to computers, so...what's the problem and what should I do?

Turn Video Acceleration down.

Tools>Options>Performance>Set the video acceleration slider down one notch, then to none if it still doesnt work.

Nope, didn't fix the problem. Anyone else?

version 10, but it almost never works in WMP (actually it might never have), it works in winamp sometimes though, for certain vids.

Also realize that the file is occasionally (if not, always now) offline meaning you wont actually be able to stream it :)
