Video sometimes freezes

Does it hiccup or completely freeze? If it just hiccups look and see what other programs are taking up the resources on your computer. If it freezes, then the file is probably corrupted in some way...
 
if you are trying to play anything other than a dvd MOVIE or mpeg file then it could be you've installed too many codecs and they're causing the problem.
 
it hiccups, occasionaly on some parts of the movie, but when I rewind it a bit, and play it again its fine, as for resouces, i have a gig or ram, and the player i use is MPC
 
That's becuase (if you're downloading it, ie. a link from a web site) then it hasn't fully downloaded it all the way, but it will work fine when you rewind it cause it has downloaded that part of the video.
