Hello guys.Inside my folder i have video file, text document with subtitles in it,and config. settings. When i play video i am able to see subtitles, but when i remove subtitles from the folder, then i cant see them in video.I want to burn this video to my dvd disc so i play it later in my portable dvd player. My question is,will it work if i burn all these 3 files, which is text document with subtitles, config.settings and video itself on dvd disc, and be able to see video with subtitles.Basically i just want to insert this dvd disc into my dvd player and be able to see video and subtitles.I hope you understand.thx

If you write a VCD/VDVD it won't work. The cd burner program will not even allow you to put it on the disk. (the subtitle file)
Try finding software to merge the subtitle to the video file.

no, if you make a DVD it will be converted to a DVD Video format, where the other two files won't work.
do you know if your dvd player supports .avi? you can multiplex the subtitles with the video if you need. i'm pretty sure .avi supports subtitles.

I need to put those 2 files together with video file,so it can work on any dvd player.Maybe you guys know, how companies make their dvd movies with subtitles in it? Does it have same thing as mine? text doc with subs. config setting and video? or is it made different way.thx

Well, I think companies use programs like Premiere Pro, a professional video editing software. It's hard because you have to create each page as a title, but it's much easier to do the timing.
I haven't ever used video dvds with menus where you can display or hide subtitles, but it makes me think that they created two versions, one with the subtitle and one without and the title can activate/deactivate it.
