videocard can't find the right display

hi, after i unplugged my display from my videocard (ati eah 3850) and then plugged it back , he can't find the right display, at my configuration it sais " a normal not pnp-display" but he must find my compaq w220q display,
can anybody help me solve this?
 
Ensure you have plugged it into the right port firstly, have you tried another monitor?
Can you get anything on your monitor

yes it's in the right port, and yes i can get everything on my monitor but because my videocard can't find the right monitor the resolution is really bad so i can't get the maximum resolution that i normally have, and i have also a integrated videocard on my mb. and i plugged it in there, and it wordked normally, it had found my compaq display, so i think it has something to do with my videocard and not the monitor
