View on monitor Suddenly distorted

What does this sound like to you guys?

Sometimes when my friend is online, he will click onto a page or link and the screen suddenly gets larger and blurry{Not the actual glass, what he is viewing ]

It looks as it has been zoomed and distorts. My friend is not a privvy to any psychedelic substances, so the blurry screen is a definite tech issue. It happens sporadically and only happens while he is online.

I don't know if the settings are suddenly changing for some reason or if there could be a wiring or other hardware concern etc. Does anyone know?

I would think that is a hardware issue. How old is the monitor? I would assume it is CRT....

Try another monitor if you have one.

does it only happen online ?
right click anywhere on a blank part of your desktop
click properties
click settings
what is your screen resollution settings
also somewhere on the monitor is a set of buttons that you can get into the monitors config, look around at all the settings.
