I have just connected a TFT monitor to my laptop, in order to watch movies. But when I want to view the movie on the laptop screen and on the monitor, the movie doesn't show on the TFT monitor. What can I do so I can view the movie on both of the screens?
There are a few laptops that can actually do that. Most would just do one or the other. You can go into "display properties", click "settings" and check out an area marked "advanced". Every system is different, but you can go through the menus and see if you can make it go one both at the same time.
Like everyone says, I think you'd need your laptops video card to support that. And also, check if you've got the most recent drivers.

Shouldn't there be a program that splits the feed to both? Or am I horribly wrong... Anyway, good luck.
i am using a radeon 9000 64mb video card and when i plug my monitor into my comp i go to display and then advanced then displays and then i select the red icon on the side of the picture of my monito and that activates it, i then select a little blue icon which has 1 box behind another box and it shows the same thing on both monitors.
so it is possible if ur video card supports multiple monitors
